CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY

Pursuant to the election of 2007 and the amendment of the Constitution, candidates for Guild office must be and have been Resident Members of the Guild for a minimum of two (2) years continuously and immediately prior to standing for election.

VOTER ELIGIBILITY

Memberships of NAGCR members expire on a quarterly basis: March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31. Eligibility to vote is determined on the basis of the member’s status as of the close of the day, September 30. All Resident Members whose membership is active on September 30 are eligible to vote in the annual election of the NAGCR. Members who join after September 30 are not eligible to vote in the current year’s election. Dues for new members are considered to have been received by September 30 if they have been postmarked not later than September 30. Likewise, members whose memberships expired on June 30 or earlier in the current year, and were in an expired status as of September 30, are ineligible to vote. If the expired member renews his/her membership after September 30, he/she remains ineligible to vote in the current year’s election because he/she was not an active member as of the close of the day on September 30. Dues for expired members are considered to have been received by September 30 if they have been postmarked not later than September 30. Associate Members are not eligible to vote.
