Valid Ballots

For the amendment: 32

Against the amendment: 75

Abstaining: 1

17 ballots were disqualified for various reasons -- failure to sign envelope; failure to use official ballot; failure to timely submit ballot; submission of more than one ballot; failure of voter to be a Resident member.

The officers have reviewed and discussed these results and are in agreement that the amendment did not pass as it did not receive the requisite 2/3 of the valid ballots cast, and that the 17 disqualified ballots were inconsequential as to the outcome of the vote. The number of votes required for the approval of the amendment would have been 72 of the valid 108 ballots. If you have questions or concerns with respect to the results, please contact me at president@nagcr.org, and I will answer each inquiry as soon as possible.

Much appreciation to everyone who voted!

We look forward to providing NAGCR members with an online-voting service in the not too distant future in order to increase participation in elections and thereby hear more of the voices of the Guild.
