Greeting to all on this day after Thanksgiving,

First, let me say that all the debate I have read about the upcoming ballot issue makes me personally feel both exited and saddened (as all healthy debate should!). What I like about the debate is all the passionate interest (for or against) the proposed amendment - there is quite a bit to read through - and I encourage all our members to take the time to read all they can (pro and con) and honestly make a decision on they feel is best for the Guild. There have been excellent arguments both for and against this proposed amendment - and I will not even try to join in and address all those points with my counterpoints. I personally have my own point of view regarding the amendment and will not disclose my opinion here, but I do wish to bring up a point in this discussion that I haven't seen a lot of time devoted to - and that is a question of safety. Safety is and has always been my most important guideline in ringing. The following question is more directed to those in favor of the amendment that those not in favor - but I think is a valid question for the Guild's future.

How will personal safety of the non-ringer member be maintained in a ringing Guild?
