There is an opening for a Central Council Trustee.  We are fortunate that Beverly Faber is currently in one of the trustee positions, however, there is no reason why the North American Guild can't have two!  If you have any interest in getting involved, please follow up as indicated within the nomination form.  If you want further information you can contact myself (thebutlers@aol.com) or Beverly at beverlyfaber@compuserve.com.

Nominations for CCCBR Trustee

You may have seen notification that at this year’s CCCBR AGM in September we are due to elect a new Ordinary Trustee to join the Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape ringing for the future, particularly as Ringing2030 projects start to take shape and have an impact over the coming years. As a Trustee, you will be able to help form policies and strategic direction for the Central Council and ringing generally. Diversity is something we value; it is important the voices of different groups are represented. It would be great to have some young people involved in developing ringing for their future. It’s also important that the Central Council recognises ringers across the globe, not just the UK, so overseas members are very valued in ensuring everything we do resonates with ringers everywhere. Ringing ability is irrelevant; we want your opinion, enthusiasm and action. Having someone who is new to ringing on the Executive would help us support every ringer, whatever their level of experience, particularly as we look to ways of increasing retention. And you don’t have to be a CC Rep, this opportunity is open to anyone.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact the Executive team at
exec@cccbr.org.uk
or reach out to any of us individually
https://cccbr.org.uk/about/executive/

Nominations must be received by the Secretary no later than 27th July 2024. The nomination form can be found at
https://cccbr.org.uk/about/annual-meetings/2024-annual-meeting/meeting-papers/
and must be proposed and seconded by existing Representative Members, and be accompanied by a supporting statement (no longer than 200 words).
